“The Thomas Crown Affair”
Styling Wardrobe and a past which is still very present.!
The Thomas Crown Affair, 1968, Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Already seen a movie - more than once - and revised randomly a few days ago. And as often happens with "old movies" they already know the plot and conclusion, the eye ends up falling on that revolves around the story and getting lost in a myriad of details and that he had paid little attention or, trivially, we had escaped.
Well, in The Thomas Crown Affair, styling of the two protagonists, Faye and Steve is just fantastic, plus a case of striking an actuality.
I tried doing a search on the net to find the shots of the scene, but all I found was in black and white and relatively poor resolution.
I then armed with patience and tried to pull down movies directly from a small selection of shots. The quality is not the best, but it makes the idea of a taste and a fantastic art direction. For the record Steve McQueen's wardrobe in this film was followed by Ron Postal, mentioned in the credits as a personal wardrobe consultant, while many of the clothes were designed by Faye Dunaway talented Thea Van Runkle.
