Birdpaula
Give in to love (2010)

Nearly a year after the discovery of his eponymous debut album, is back birdpaula through a brand new album, 'Give In To Love ", arguably more open than before.

The evocation of his childhood on a playful ukulele through the first song, "Give Into Love," places the listener in a context of escape across the fields of Pennsylvania, Tennessee, to Chicago. Surprising as it may seem, Paula continues to experience the country folk as "Bird Will Fly" and turns into "lounge singer" on the superb "Picnic Party", surely one of the most bluffing tracks on the album .

What was so special birdpaula of his previous album was this purge in the music that made her a soul singer folk chip straight out of the early seventies to hatch in Paris in the 2000s. Such vulnerability and honesty in the interpretation is his trademark, like titles such as "Where is My Heart", "Sensuality" or "Complexity of clouds."

The soul funk side of a title like "Looking for Hemingway" sung in French is a nod to his adopted country, France, which hopefully will make him love it broadcasts profusely in his music ...

birdpaula was born in Tennessee and lives and works in paris where she met producer Marc Collin initiator of the Nouvelle Vague project. he produced her first solo album - Birdpaula, which was released in Europe in june 2007. her musical roots include , , as well as .

she made an appearance on her son Jackson’s album Smash - Jackson and His Computer Band.

she is also featured on the second Nouvelle Vague album Bande a Part interpreting U2’s Pride and collaborated on Marc Collin’s album Two For The Road.

she is now recording a new album in paris, to be released on polydor/universal in 2010.
