MONOCLE
‘The Monocle Country Fayre!’
16-17 June 2012 at Midori House!
"British tradition"
— @Midori House
Thanks to everyone who attended The Monocle Country Fayre last weekend at Midori House. We invited some of our favourite countries, retailers, and even some four-legged friends, to enjoy a bit of sunshine, games, and to meet Monochan, Monocle’s new owl mascot.
Take a look at the highlights...
Midori House has just played host to Monocle’s inaugural Country Fayre.
For our take on the British tradition, we invited some of our favourite
countries, retailers, and even some four-legged friends, to enjoy a bit
of sunshine, games, and to meet Monochan, Monocle’s new owl mascot. Over
2,000 of our neighbours, subscribers and friends were there, serenaded
by the gypsy swing ensemble Trio Manouche and Swedish singer Cecilia
Stalin while perusing the wonders and wares of Sweden, Denmark,
Portugal, Colombia and Wales.
Granger &Co were in the kitchen and Allpress Espresso roastery was at hand to provide a caffeine kick in the form of fine flat whites, all helping keep us fed and perky as we had flower crowns fitted and faces painted. For a little weekend retail therapy, our friends at Dover Street Market, Trunk Clothiers, Maison Kitsuné, Hentsch Man, Daunt Books, Muji, Miller Harris, Gestalten and Honest Jon’s Records came around and set up shop, too.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year – and also for our Christmas fayre.
