Thom Browne’s Autumn Winter collection 2011 at New York Fashion Week 2011 – Thom Browne’s Autumn Winter fashion trends for women 2011: Thom Browne, the critically-acclaimed and award-winning American menswear designer, launched his first full women’s wear collection at New York Fashion Week yesterdayBrowne, named CFDA’s Menswear Designer of the Year in 2006, and who collaborates with Brooks Brothers, chose the august surroundings of the New York Public Library. His models first appeared as “nuns” in winged, white head-dresses and black habits. The regalia was then removed by a pair of “altar-boys”, to reveal Browne’s tailored approach to the female body. Suits, dresses and egg-shaped coats came in a medley of plaids, flannels, and vinyls, with an emphasis on a red,white, and blue palette.
