Look! | A Mid-Summer’s Day
The weather is hot everywhere, multiple patterns, tote bags and Ranger Moccs should be worn. I was searching around my computer for no real reason and came across some nice images of items that I liked when put together in one. Pretty much every item in the look is sold out, hard to find in Japan or really expensive, so unless you have the pieces or a lot of money and time, I recommend using this for inspiration. Part of the outfit actually looks a bit off-key to me with the gingham shirt, stripes of the bag and three different tones of brown/beige between the shorts, shoes and hat. However, they all come together quite nicely in my opinion and create a nearly perfect storm of great pieces. Everything in the look could work well with several other options, so it works as a nice outfit that you can easily shift the rest of your wardrobe in and out of.
FYI:
Shirt, J Press. Shoes, Yuketen. Bag, Sunset Craftsmen. Hat, Beams.
Watch, Bell & Ross. Shorts, Woolrich Woolen Mills.

Look! | In Spring
Although the last days of really layering up may be gone, I am finding myself wearing multiple button down shirts more these days as a nice spring layering option. Contrasting whites and chambrays, plaids and floral, or even two shirts of nearly the same color can work really nicely. It’s easy to stay warm, easy to pull off one shirt if need be, and adds a little something most people still aren’t doing. Angelo Baque takes gets his shirt count pretty high in our feature on him in the last issue, but it still manages to work. You don’t need to go that far yourself, but playing with the different layers and using different textures can look really nice.
