Porta's Listen...The Monocle Weekly - EDITION 21

The Monocle Weekly embraces the Aloha spirit this week as editor-in-chief Tyler Brûlé anchors the show from Honolulu. He's joined in the studio by Mayor Mufi Hannemann who reveals plans to boost Honolulu's enviable quality of life even further and explains what makes President Obama's hometown unique. Political scientist Keanu Sai is also in the studio to set the record straight on Hawaii's sovereignty and suggests that America's 50th state may not actually belong to America at all. We also look to Detroit and talk to Matt Allen of Hantz Farms about how the world's biggest urban farming project is set to change the landscape of the Motor City. Editor Andrew Tuck and culture editor Rob Bound are holding the fort back in the London studio and join Tyler on the line for comment, culture and debate.
