About HARTFIELD

Hartfield play a very pleasant-sounding, melodic style of shoegaze rock that soothes the listener.features sighing male and female vocals, soaring pop melodies, all delivered with a healthy does of syrupy guitars.E^full of exquisite harmonied-duet vocals, jangly guitars mixed with more fuzzy sounding guitars, and a quick tempo.

HARTFIELD was formed by Takateru kagawa (Guitar/Vocal). Later that year, Yukari tanaka (Guitar/Vocal) joined HARTFIELD officially. They Started playing gigs with a support bassist and Drums on December 2000.

They participated in a compilation CD album “SEVEN WINTERS” which was released from “curse of MY BLOODY VALENTINE”. This CD features ASTROBRITE / AIRIEL / HOTZEX / LUMINOUS ORANGE / COALTER OF
THE DEEPERS …and HARTFIELD. They released three cassette singles by independence production and sold them at the independent record stores of Tokyo and sold out total.1000 copies or more in tokyo alone. It’s Great!!

They signed to Vinyl Junkie Recordings. They participated in a compilation promotional CD “Way of a Ray” which was released from Vinyl Junkie Recordings.

At last, They release their long-awaited debut album on 24th October. This album is released simultaneously in Japan (Vinyl Junkie Recordings) and the United States of America (clairecords). This Album was mixed by Scotte Cortez of ASTROBRITE.

HARTFIELD "True Color, True Lie" (2003)

Their debut album “True color,True lie” (US Version) is released from clairecords in the United States of America. And A compilation album “Pacific Union” (US Version) which they have participated is released from Clairecords in the United States of America. They released the mini album “L.I.B.R.A.” on 18th June.
