Hot and Covered...GQ: THE SARTORIALIST, captures the month’s best styles

Knickers Satisfy
London is still a pretty formal town, so when you spot a guy wearing shorts, you notice him—and you notice how well he executes the look. What I get from this bloke is how a tie—or even a bow tie—can elevate a pair of shorts to a higher level.

Brogues, Bro!
For decades, Tricker’s on Jermyn Street has kept all its shoes in shelves right on the sales floor. That way a salesman can spend more time working with the customer instead of running to the back room.

Best in Show
The coolest exhibition I saw in London was fashion photographer Tim Walker’s show at the Design Museum. It highlights his extremely elaborate photographs, but what I found most interesting was the display of his notebooks and sketches that inspire those images. The show runs through September 7.

Canvas Cool
How do you update a classic? Instead of tricking it out with overt graphics, you simplify it. Adidas has issued a limited-edition canvas version of its Stan Smith tennis shoe, available only in London and Berlin.
