THE SARTORIALIST BOOK
Scott Schuman

For the duration of its 500+ pages, The Sartorialist (Penguin) book does an amazing job of bringing the reader around the world — to New York, France, Sweden, Moscow, Italy, London, L.A., and more — and presenting some of the most wild, beautiful, and elegantly-dressed people one is ever bound to cross paths with. If you don’t know already, the book is a sort of supplement to TheSartorialist.com, the blog by the same name run by Scott Schuman that aims to bring real-world fashion sense to the forefront of fashion discourse.

Anyway, if you absolutely cannot hold yourself over for 24 hours, I have attached some images of an advanced copy that Penguin sent over that I’m sure you’ll find satisfying.

MONOCLE
issue 27

The Monocle Magazine Staff sent me their latest issue #27 Volume 3 as well as their 2009/2010 Style /Survey in the mail the other day. I was shocked they sent me a copy being that the lady told me they don't usually do this, because their a small independent magazine. Ever since then I've been a Fan!

Review: The Magazine has some interesting briefings on Global Affairs, Business, Culture, & Design. The modern travel mag. gives us a look a collaborations with other brands like Gitman Bros., retail concepts, interviews with an array of graphic designers and entrepreneurs, Inventory life-improvers, and their infamous surveys from all over the world. Definitely a magazine well worth the $10 for you travel and business enthusiasts on the go, I know mines will be with me!

I LOVE YOU, BETH COOPER
-A NOVEL-
by Larry Doyle

As long as there are nerds among us, they will seek their revenge. The pimply-faced debate captain lusting after the head cheerleader is an archetype nearly as durable as the hero’s journey or the star-crossed lovers. In his debut novel, “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” Larry Doyle, a television writer whose credits include (promisingly) “The Simpsons” and (less so) “Beavis and Butt-Head,” gives a 21st-century gloss to this familiar tale. “I Love You, Beth Cooper” is less a novel than a novelization of a movie not yet made, a bibliography of teenage-loser angst, bursting with film and song references ranging from the movies “Rushmore” and “Porky’s” to the bands Simple Minds and Kiss. What Doyle’s story lacks in originality, however, it makes up for in laughs. He is, as his credits suggest, wickedly funny, though he veers wildly from the refreshingly high to the disturbingly low, and readers over 20 may have to rely on Google to translate topical references (as a drunken character advises doing).
