-in Maine
Coming this week, look forward to highlights from my tour of the Quoddy Trail Moccasin factory. I met Quoddy’s VP Kevin Shorey for a very informative look into how things are run at their new facilities in Lewiston, Maine.
QUODDY the sign read. I felt the sweat on my feet. Wool socks, Bean Boots, and a shock of nerves hit me as I entered the factory doors.
Max over at All Plaidout made a great trip out to the Quoddy Trail Moccasin factory in Maine. He’s been out rummaging through some pretty cool places lately, but this might be my favorite yet. I recently tried on a number of pairs of Quoddy’s shoes at South Willard and they’ve been on my mind since. The shoes feel incredibly well made, much more solid than your average boat shoe. Along with Max’s nice photos of the tour, he does tell a good story of the development of the brand and it’s growth. Between Quoddy and it’s relative Yuketen, they are producing some of the best footwear in North America in my opinion. Consistently great looking, beautiful colors, the finest leathers - I think I might have to join Max on the waitlist for a custom pair.
"Gorgeous!!"
Quoddy centers their brand around doing things well, doing them locally, and doing them with pride. Invest in a pair of Quoddy moccasins. If you wear your Quoddy’s with the same care that went into crafting them, then they might even outlast you.For more, please contact:
